Craig and his wife, Jeannie, live in Newnan, GA, with their wire-haired dachshund, Rudy. They have two daughters, Laura (husband, Adam) and Rachel (husband, Anthony), one son, Jack, and one grandchild, Abigail (daughter of Laura & Adam).

Craig graduated from University of Georgia in 1983, and recently got his MA in Marriage & Family Therapy from Asbury Theological Seminary.
