Sunday Worship
Traditional Worship
8:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary
Traditional Worship has a long-standing history of being the cornerstone of worship at Newnan FUMC. Prayer, scripture, hymns, and a Spirit-filled sermon all lead participants into an attitude of expectation to hear what God has to say to and through us. Weekly recitations of the Lord's Prayer and the Apostle's Creed remind us what we believe and whom we seek to know as believers.

Connect Contemporary Worship
11:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall
Our contemporary service (a.k.a. Connect) started in October of 2012 and has since become a vital part of worship at Newnan FUMC. These services are much more casual in nature. Come as you are! Before the service each week there's a time to hang out, listen to music, and get some coffee. The worship is led each week by our own Connect band and the sermon is conversational and challenging. More than anything, we want to provide a place where you can feel at home and connect with God and with others.
J.A.M. (Jesus And Me)
During 11:00 Traditional & Connect Services
Note: No J.A.M. on Communion Sundays
Room 207/209 in the Education Building
While children are welcome at all of our worship services, we also have a special time of worship prepared for those kids age 4 through 2nd grade. During this time they will have an opportunity to learn even more about the church and God in a setting that encourages activity and curiosity.
Nursery
All morning
Bottom floor of the Parish Hall
In addition to J.A.M., we have a nursery available for infants and younger children up to age 4.
Communion
Every first Sunday of the month (typically)
As early as the Emmaus experience on the day of Resurrection, recorded in Luke 24:13-35, Christians recognized the presence of Jesus Christ in the breaking of bread. The traditional Jewish practice of taking bread, blessing and thanking God, and breaking and sharing the bread took on new meaning for them. When followers of Christ gathered in Jesus' name, the breaking of bread and sharing of the cup was a means of remembering his life, death, and resurrection and of encountering the living Christ.
At Newnan FUMC, we observe the Lord's Supper every first Sunday of the month in all our worship services. All are welcome to partake.
